“The Second World War through Jesuit Archives” Now Available & Meeting of JCEP Archivists

The team of the Archives of the Greater Poland and Mazovia Province of the Society of Jesus participates in meetings of JCEP archivists. The sessions are coordinated by ARSI and serve as a platform for sharing experiences and exchanging ideas.

This collaboration has resulted in the volume "The Second World War through Jesuit Archives: The Case of Europe (1939–1945), edited by Damien Burke, Rebecca Somerset, and Christian Taoutel), and published in the IHSI Global series.

Each chapter of this publication focuses on a Jesuit archive in Europe and beyond. Together, they are a starting point for research on the history of the Society of Jesus in Europe during the Second World War.

Archivists from the Greater Poland and Mazovia Province, Fr. Krzysztof Dorosz SJ and Katarzyna Trzcińska, also contributed a chapter, in which they presented the wartime experiences of Jesuits from the Province and the losses suffered. The Archive in Warsaw also provided the cover photograph.

The book can be ordered from Fondazione Polanco. LINK
